Dave the Diver game makes gaming a fun experience again for me! If Parasite (coincidentally also made by South Korean filmmakers) can win Best Picture, I hope this game, which many consider to be an indie game, can also win many Game of the Year (GOTY) awards. If not that, at least it must be top contender for the Labour of Love Steam award; you can tell in the first few hours of the game, and even to the very last “new feature” (this game may have a problem of introducing too many minigames, even after you've beaten or are close to beating the main storyline) that the developers enjoying working on it. Game development is a job, no doubt about it, and sometimes the banality and reality of a day job leaks into the game in many ways. For example, you can read a piece of description and feel like it was written as part of a daily job; there's no individuality and nothing inspiring from it. But not this game, this game radiates joy, this game grabs your interest, and makes you want to keep coming back.

Bug-wise, in my 50+ hours of gameplay, I've only ever encountered one bug where camera was stuck on a fish that was harpooned once, and I couldn't move away to unstuck the camera. Instead, I was able to progress by harpooning another fish and thus causing the camera to center on the new fish and then be unstuck successfully. I believe this bug was just fixed a few days ago.

My only tip to new players is DO NOT MIN-MAX YOUR FIRST PLAYTHROUGH (or at least first few days). Just enjoy the game at whatever pace you want; the game is designed to be relaxing and not too hard, but there are moments where it can get intense and difficult if you're not prepared or upgraded enough. I would wholeheartedly recommend this game to any players of all age. It costs $20.00 USD!!! That's a steal for how much content this game has.

It has been so long since Stardew Valley that I've found a game in the casual genre that eats up so much of my time, and I can't wait to see what's next from the developer, either with new content for Dave the Diver, or with a new game in the same spirit.
